Position Overview


Collaborates with Senior Consultant to leverage and enhance the specialized expertise and skills acquired through experience, specialized training, or certification to manage both qualified and nonqualified retirement plans. This encompasses all facets of plan design, compliance evaluation, daily administration, and the cultivation of client relationships.

Employs robust analytical skills to investigate and identify potential strategies to discuss with the Senior Consultant to address client requirements.

Takes charge of personal and professional development, seeking opportunities for ongoing education and skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Consultant with the following responsibilities, with the ultimate aim of taking ownership of these tasks for their designated group.

Defined Contribution Retirement Plans:

  • Execute project tasks autonomously, with guidance from a Senior Consultant for newly assigned responsibilities.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of plan design.
  • Supervise daily administration, annual compliance evaluations, Form 5500 preparation, trust accounting, participant notifications, and plan documentation.
  • Maintain client relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Anticipate client needs and devise solutions to address client challenges.
  • Guide and mentor junior analysts.
  • Prepare and review deliverables for precision and quality.
  • Manage personal and professional growth; seek avenues for professional development and enhancement of consulting skills and experience.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Capable of conducting compliance evaluations, discussing plan design, preparing annual reports, and completing DOL and IRS forms with support from Senior Consultant, as necessary.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, and drive tasks to completion with support from Senior Consultant, as needed.
  • Proficient in operating standard office equipment and utilizing required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databases.
  • Familiarity with the Relius recordkeeping system is preferred.
Skills in

  • Effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in nurturing client relationships.
  • Strong customer service capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
Ability to

  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and determine potential strategies to discuss with Senior Consultant to meet client needs.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a relevant field.
  • Four years of experience in the retirement sector, with client-facing experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications

  • QKA or QPA designation preferred.
Compensation

  • $70,000 - $85,000.
