This supervisory role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service to retail banking clients by overseeing branch operations and managing a team of Customer Service Representatives.

A successful Customer Service Supervisor will:

  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction through the provision of superior service.
  • Assist clients by identifying opportunities and making suitable product and service recommendations for both individual and small business clients.
  • Supervise a team of two or more CSRs, managing scheduling, onboarding, training, workflow, and adherence to operational processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with management to propose enhancements for operational effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency, ultimately contributing to shareholder value.
  • Exhibit and apply the necessary skills to open various account types and facilitate loan origination.
  • Develop the competencies and certifications required to meet branch performance objectives.
  • Take charge of branch operations in the absence of other leadership.
  • Comply with bank policies and procedures to adhere to Federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations.
  • Embody the corporate values and ethics of WaFd Bank, which include integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service. Additionally, they must be kind.

Required Qualifications

Education/Skills/Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills, proficiency in 10-key and keyboarding.
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Well-developed smartphone and digital channel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, along with superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Certification in the IRA Road Map and participation in the onboarding of new hires at the branch.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in banking and supervisory roles is preferred, particularly in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations.
