Job Summary:

As a Certified Nurse Midwife at Covenant Health (Tennessee), you will provide high-quality perinatal care to patients under the supervision of a physician preceptor. This role involves evaluating patient outcomes, consulting with specialists as needed, and adjusting care processes to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety standards.
Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and consult with other specialists as required.
Collaborate with physician preceptor to formulate and review medical protocols.
Obtain complete medical history of the patient, identify health hazards, and consider cultural patterns, economic status, and patient resources in the plan of care.
Perform appropriate physical exams, obtain laboratory specimens, and analyze data for diagnosis and treatment.
Ensure treatment and plan of care are consistent with established protocols and monitor accuracy of recording on patient medical records.
Refer patients to appropriate services, provide health promotion counseling, and develop patient teaching information.
Serve as a resource person for other staff personnel and may supervise clinical staff.

Requirements:

Current TN license and certification as a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife, or Family Nurse Practitioner.
CPR required.
