About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to lead our fundraising and volunteer management efforts in Southwest Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving campaign objectives for the American Heart Association.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate and community partners to achieve assigned revenue goals.
  • Drive new business development by soliciting and maintaining high-level corporate and patron sponsors.
  • Recruit, orient, and manage C-suite volunteer leadership to support fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain an ongoing pipeline of potential sponsors, donors, and volunteer leadership.
  • Instrumental in building volunteer leadership committees and planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating assigned fundraising initiatives.
Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience.
  • Ability to do daily local travel up to 75% and work outside of standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects and have basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.
