The American Heart Association is seeking a highly skilled Development Director to lead the fundraising and volunteer management efforts for our Southwest Florida Heart Ball campaign. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and community partners to achieve assigned revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue goals
- Maintain relationships with corporate and community partners
- Recruit, orient, and manage C-suite volunteer leadership
- Plan, develop, and implement assigned fundraising initiatives
- Collaborate with other staff and volunteers to promote and support local initiatives
Requirements:
- 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience
- Ability to do daily local travel up to 75%
- Ability to work outside of standard hours
- Ability to lift and/or move large objects
- Basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- University/College degree or equivalent experience
- Experience managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-Suite level
- Knowledge of corporate and community networks
