As a key member of our healthcare team, you will utilize clinical reasoning to conduct accurate assessments, identify patient and family needs, and develop and implement individualized plans of care. Your expertise will enable you to prioritize patient needs, modify plans as necessary, and promote optimal clinical outcomes.
Clinical Inquiry and Evidence-Based PracticeYou will play a vital role in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, including nursing-sensitive indicators. Your contributions will support evidence-based practice changes through research utilization and experiential learning, and you will participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, and reviewing patient history and physical with patients/families.
- Formulating plans of care, including discharge plans, utilizing assessment data and patient, family, and healthcare team input.
- Implementing plans of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities.
- Evaluating patient response to care and teaching, and revising plans of care as needed.
- Documenting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records.
- Providing care based on best evidence available, and participating in research activities within clinical practice.
- Participating in unit or facility shared leadership, and interacting with patients, families, students, and visitors.
