We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Aide to join our team at The Sheridan at Eastside. As a Medication Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing medication administration and personal care services.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans and under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Count and verify medications with approved personnel before accepting medication keys.
- Order and receive medications and supplies as needed, ensuring accurate storage and disposal.
- Conduct weekly inspections of medications to ensure expired or discontinued items are removed.
- Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and incontinence care.
- Document resident information and concerns in the daily log, notifying supervisors as needed.
- Participate in staff training and in-services to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Certified Medication Aide certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow policies and procedures
