Job Summary

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas. This position requires a combination of laundry and housekeeping skills, with a focus on providing a clean and sterile environment for patients/residents and facility staff.

Responsibilities
  • Emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
  • Demonstrating knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools, and techniques in a healthcare environment
  • Providing a clean and sterile environment for patients/residents and facility staff
  • Assisting in the laundry areas as needed
  • Using technology applications, such as pagers and other tools, to support the role
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are required
