Job Summary

Carlson's Heating and Cooling is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems for our residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, checking fluid levels, and lubricating moving parts.
  • Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and electrical components.
  • Interact with clients to assess their needs, provide estimates, and explain the work to be done.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used, time spent, and billing information.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear to avoid injury or exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members, clients, and building owners.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and store them properly when not in use.
  • Stay up-to-date with new HVAC technologies and techniques to remain competitive.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or degree in HVAC or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.
