Summary

The role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in designated facilities and their surroundings through the use of appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and waxing; clean and vacuum carpets;
  • Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, and shelves; manage waste disposal and cleanliness of receptacles;
  • Sanitize restrooms and ensure supply replenishment;
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including both manual and automated devices;
  • Oversee the upkeep of adjacent paved and landscaped areas;
  • Conduct minor repairs such as clearing drains and fixing faucets;
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed;
  • Clear debris and litter from communal spaces;
  • Prepare rooms for special events and meetings;
  • Engage with visitors and patrons as required;
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Completion of the tenth grade along with one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience that meets the following criteria:

Physical examination is mandatory.
Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of:
  • Methods and equipment utilized in janitorial services.
Skills to:
  • Effectively operate cleaning machines and tools such as buffers, shampooers, vacuums, and mops;
  • Communicate clearly with others;
  • Follow both verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds;
  • Capability to frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds;
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift;
  • Occasional bending and kneeling;
  • Frequent climbing of ladders, stairs, and other elevated surfaces;
  • Continuous forward flexion of the upper trunk and partial knee flexion;
  • Occasional rotation of the upper body while sitting or standing;
  • Frequent reaching above, at, or below shoulder height;
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of objects.
