Senior Systems Manager, Warehouse Operations

About the Role

Symbotic is seeking a Project Manager for the Warehouse Systems team to drive the planning and successful delivery of the team's roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and engineering leadership, with experience leading agile scrum teams at a fast-paced technology company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, tracking, and communicating project status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Acting as the SCRUM Master of multiple Agile Product teams, facilitating grooming, stand-ups, communication, and decision-making with the team
  • Planning and tracking Beta Testing and User Acceptance Testing in partnership with Product Owners
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of the team within the agile framework and continuous improvement of software development processes, quality, and quantity of work delivered
  • Building a highly functioning team by leading the team in best practices for Project Management
  • Managing the department and team plans by establishing clear goals and holding staff accountable, participating in regular feedback dialog with staff members, and managing corrective action as appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and engineering leadership
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the role of delivery manager or program manager
  • Experience leading an agile scrum team at a fast-paced technology company
  • Ability to troubleshoot details while maintaining the 'big picture' view
  • General knowledge of hardware and software technologies related to Symbotic's products
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues and facilitate resolution, communicate well with internal and external technical audiences, and triage issues based on priority, impact, risk, and release timing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and build trust with stakeholders
  • Ability to input into product strategy in the context of Symbotic's business strategy
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous issues
  • Outstanding time management skills and attention to details
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, 'Find a way to get it done' attitude
