Job Summary

Hire Military Talent is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the production facility's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee outside grounds maintenance and troubleshoot building systems to ensure smooth operation.
  • Critical Infrastructure: Operate and maintain critical infrastructure systems, including ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, steam, water, chiller, and compressed air systems.
  • Wastewater Management: Provide support for the operations, monitoring, and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and practices to enhance infrastructure reliability, sustainability, and reduce operational costs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S projects for central utility and wastewater treatment buildings.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements for ammonia refrigeration systems, prioritizing the highest level of safety.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage preventative maintenance tasks, work orders, and requests.
  • Building Management: Operate building management systems (BMS) to maintain and monitor plant utility systems.
  • Safety Initiatives: Support safety initiatives and participate in behavioral-based safety observation programs.
  • Service Provider Management: Ensure that outside service providers comply with plant GMP and safety programs.
  • Training and Development: Provide hands-on peer-to-peer training on utility systems.
  • Company Policies: Adhere to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Desired certifications in areas of responsibility such as ammonia, HVAC, and boiler operation.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of combined manufacturing/maintenance/technician experience.
  • Technical Skills: 3+ years of experience in ammonia refrigeration, boiler, compressed air, and water system operations, troubleshooting, and emergency protocols.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interpret technical documentation including P&IDs, general layout drawings, and block flow diagrams.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills.
  • Background Checks: Must pass required drug screening and criminal background checks, and possess reliable transportation.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for periodic technical training.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be willing to shave to meet requirements for wearing a respirator in emergency and training situations.
  • Desired Experience: Desired experience in industrial wastewater management.
  • Regulated Environments: Experience in food/beverage or other FDA/USDA regulated environments preferred.
  • Technical Systems: Familiarity with CMMS and BMS systems.
