Nadel Architects is a leading architectural firm with a strong presence in the industry.

We are seeking an experienced Studio Director to lead our Multifamily/Mixed-Use Studio in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Job Summary:

We require a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in architecture, design, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, business development expertise, and a proven track record of financial management within a studio or project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the studio's operations, promoting a positive team culture and aligning with the firm's goals and values.
  • Communicate and implement strategic objectives and design vision across the studio.
  • Mentor and develop staff, overseeing employee performance and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure high standards of design quality in all projects, overseeing planning, production, and review processes.
  • Manage relationships with consultants and ensure contract documents meet firm standards.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the studio, including billing, collections, and contract approvals.
  • Monitor project work plans to ensure financial goals are met and manage staffing allocations.
  • Handle project-related legal matters.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, leading efforts to bring new projects to the studio.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in architecture, design, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proven experience in business development, client management, and marketing.
  • Strong understanding of financial management within a studio or project-based environment.
  • Ability to travel between studio locations and domestic project sites as needed.

$150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
