We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Patient Navigator/Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Healogics. This individual will play a critical role in the smooth operation of our outpatient wound care centers, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with center leadership to maximize daily patient census
- Participate in staff meetings to support key functions within the center
- Greet patients and visitors, answer and route calls to appropriate staff
- Maintain patient communication needs, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders
- Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations
- Collect and enter patient charges in databases
- Verify and reconcile charges as directed
- Prepare monthly patient survey data and documentation
- Assemble new patient charts, maintain and file existing patient charts
- Coordinate and schedule ancillary testing with other hospital departments
- Arrange for patient transportation as needed
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred
- Graduate from a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
- Current CMA, CNA, or EMT Certification licensed in the state of employment
- Minimum of two years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent use of computer and phone. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.
