About the RoleThis part-time position is located at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and focuses on our Patient Visitor department.
You'll work a two-week rotation, with varying shifts to support our 24-hour operation system.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors at the facility entrance
- Follow exceptional patient experience guidelines and expectations
- Look up patient appointments in Epic to ensure patients are escorted or directed to the appropriate location
- Coordinate volunteers or personally escort and transport patients, families, and visitors
- Provide clear and concise wayfinding directions
- Handle patient, family, and visitor inquiries with timely follow-through
- Handle incoming calls with timely follow-through
- Assist florists with flower deliveries and donations
- Handle confidential information appropriately
- Understand and follow all Patient Visitor departmental processes
- Prioritize tasks and identify immediate emergency needs
- Provide wayfinding instructions and assist with hospital information
- Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work a variety of shifts to support a 24-hour operation system
- Ability to work a two-week rotation of shifts
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Experience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments
