Position Title: Intraoperative Technologist

Location: Round Rock, Texas

Compensation: $27 - $38 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proficient and experienced Intraoperative Technologist to enhance our surgical imaging capabilities. In this role, you will execute sophisticated intraoperative imaging tasks utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring exceptional patient care and safety during surgical interventions. This full-time role offers a vibrant and innovative workplace, contributing to intricate surgical operations and delivering critical imaging assistance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality advanced intraoperative imaging procedures following established protocols and maintaining sterile techniques.
  • Operate advanced imaging technologies including portable diagnostic tools, 3D imaging systems, portable fluoroscopy, portable CT, and Hybrid IR/OR systems.
  • Engage effectively with patients using AIDET principles to ensure clarity in procedures and build trust.
  • Prepare patients and surgical areas by positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and setting exposure parameters.
  • Comply with safety, infection control, and radiation protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
  • Ensure cleanliness and operational readiness of imaging equipment, collaborating with engineers and physicists for optimal functionality.
  • Accurately document patient data, procedure specifics, and maintain medical imaging records in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Provide surgical guidance for advanced procedures, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), 3D imaging for surgical navigation, and various orthopedic and spinal interventions.
  • Act as a mentor, offering training and support to new staff on procedures and initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as an Intraoperative Technologist or in a related capacity.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (ARRT-R).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
