Green Meadows Partners, Inc. is collaborating with a prominent corporate client to enhance their financial team by bringing on board a skilled Financial Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
· Gather and evaluate financial data to create journal entries that reflect the integration of various locations and currency conversions.
· Generate monthly journal entries related to leasing activities, including necessary accruals, prepayments, and amortization entries.
· Reconcile accounts within the general ledger and prepare monthly reconciliation schedules.
· Facilitate the timely dissemination of financial data required for the month-end closing process across the global organization.
· Assess information collected from international teams and provide constructive feedback and inquiries.
· Investigate, analyze, and respond to lease accounting inquiries, which may involve creating detailed Excel analyses.
· Implement U.S. GAAP accounting principles to evaluate financial data and produce financial reports.
· Contribute to the disclosures in quarterly and annual financial statements.
· Ensure adequate documentation and support while assisting in the establishment and maintenance of internal controls to uphold SOX compliance.
· Possess a working knowledge of both lease and general ledger software systems.
· Aid in the efficient completion of internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules and addressing inquiries.
· Guarantee adherence to U.S. GAAP accounting standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with two to three years of relevant experience and/or training.
· Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP).
· Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
· Excellent analytical and reasoning capabilities.
· Precision and meticulousness in work.
· Competence in drafting routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to perform calculations for discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
· Capability to apply accounting concepts and understand technical accounting literature.
· Adaptability to shifting work priorities and assignments.
· Effectiveness in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Strong collaborative spirit.
· Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, along with advanced Excel skills, including the creation of complex formulas, V-lookups, and pivot tables.
· Experience with accounting software packages, such as Lucernex or other ERP Financial systems, is advantageous.
