About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU department at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a PACU nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients ranging from neonate to geriatrics using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Address the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
  • Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed concerning patient condition and receives direction for patient management.
  • Participate in performance improvement, quality assurance and departmental meetings.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of more RN experience in PACU experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a current Registered Nurse licensure with a multistate compact state.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association PALS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
