Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Equipment Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of high-level diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment used throughout our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-going Planned Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) of imaging equipment, ensuring timely and quality repairs.
  • Assist in the planning and installation of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment, collaborating with clinical staff and vendors as needed.
  • Order parts and supplies within established departmental guidelines, recommending radiology-related test equipment and spare parts to the CE Manager.
  • Coordinate repairs with vendors and users, ensuring follow-up paperwork and verification of issue resolution.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on technological and medical equipment advances, conducting in-service training sessions for radiology staff as needed.
  • Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours, rotating with other team members.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, as demonstrated by customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Participate in teamwork, keeping others informed, initiating group decision-making, and working to accomplish team objectives and projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Associate's degree in a related field, such as medical electronics, electronic technology, or imaging service technology.
  • Three or more years of experience performing corrective and planned maintenance on imaging equipment, including nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment.
  • Specialized training by manufacturer or third-party equipment repair in areas such as nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment.
  • Working knowledge of radiation physics, medical terminology, medical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, imaging service techniques, and relevant regulations and standards.
Working Conditions

The Imaging Equipment Specialist will work in a collaborative, shared leadership environment, interacting with various hospital personnel and vendors to achieve positive outcomes. The role requires physical ability to balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, sit, squat, stand, twist, and walk, as well as mental concentration while being subject to stress, interruptions, and changing work priorities.
