Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented STEM Technical Recruiter to join our Data & Technology (D&T) team on a contract basis. This role is critical in supporting the recruitment processes and programs for our D&T organization. Reporting to the Engagement Manager, Data and Technology, you will be part of a 4-5 person Talent Acquisition team, working closely with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a seamless and positive experience throughout the hiring process.
In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting for technical positions, managing an average requisition load of 15-20 opportunities. You'll be sourcing and recruiting for various Data and Technology roles, including Engineers, Architects, Scientists, and Analysts. Your day-to-day activities will involve proactive sourcing on platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, and Google Xray, as well as managing candidate pipelines and campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide full-cycle recruiting for technical positions in the Data & Technology team.
- Foster and maintain relationships with potential candidates to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
- Manage candidate pipelines and campaigns, including heavy proactive sourcing.
- Leverage and promote the employee referral program.
- Understand current internal talent, identify skill gaps, and anticipate future hiring needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the D&T department, functions, and roles.
- Manage technical pre-employment assessments and work visa/immigration intakes.
- Provide transparent communication and excellent customer service to key stakeholders.
- Recommend best practices to improve the recruiting process.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment laws.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the D&T department.
- 4 to 6 years of recruiting experience in-house or at an agency, preferably including technology organizations.
- Minimum 2 years of technical recruiting experience, including working within immigration regulations.
- High proficiency in proactive sourcing techniques using various platforms and tools.
- Hands-on experience with technical pre-employment assessments.
- Strong relationship-building skills with all stakeholder groups.
- Understanding of the competitive talent landscape.
- Knowledge of leveraging the full talent pipeline, from early career hiring to internal mobility programs.
- Ability to work standard business hours.
- Experience with both contract and full-time roles, with some in-house experience.
- Hands-on experience using Workday Recruit.
- Experience with Phenom People or another CRM.
- Agency recruiting experience (in addition to in-house experience).
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Competitive hourly range from 35-40 per hour depending on experience
