Job Overview

The Sourcing and Inventory Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all facets of product supply, ensuring availability, and managing inventory effectively. This position is crucial for implementing category sourcing strategies that guarantee supply, quality, and cost efficiency in both domestic and international markets. Reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager, this role is integral to the Supply Chain Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various teams to execute strategies, programs, and policies that align with operational needs.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality products at competitive rates.
  • Manage supplier relationships, evaluate performance, and pinpoint opportunities for cost reductions and process enhancements.
  • Engage with essential supply chain teams, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Distribution, and Logistics, to achieve organizational objectives and maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance, including lead times, fill rates, and compliance metrics.
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels across multiple third-party distribution centers.
  • Support product innovation, market testing, sustainability initiatives, and strategic projects from a supply chain perspective.
  • Analyze and report on supply chain metrics to identify improvement areas and drive continuous enhancement.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Experience in analyzing inventory data and familiarity with distribution center operations, purchase order processes, and logistics.
  • Proficient in data analysis with strong problem-solving abilities to drive supply chain improvements and cost savings.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including experience in formal presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with ERP systems (preferably SAP). Knowledge of demand forecasting and production planning software is advantageous.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant experience in Food Manufacturing or Distribution is required.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • A background in agriculture is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
