Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Indirectly supervise employees in the Maintenance Department, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with production personnel, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of technical schooling preferred.
- Experience: Five years of related experience in a food or other manufacturing plant.
- Skills: Strong motor controls and PLC skills; ability to use a computer; ability to train and work on various shifts; knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems; practical knowledge of plant electrical/mechanical systems; strong working knowledge of automated conveyor systems; ability to analyze electro-mechanical devices, trouble shoot failures, and implement repairs.
