Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Motion Recruitment. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our clients' Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission, maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems, power distribution units (PDUs), and static transfer switches (STS)
  • Provide expert technical support and maintenance services to clients
  • Conduct site visits to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in the critical power industry
  • Ability to troubleshoot down to component level on UPS, batteries, PDUs, STS, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level customer service skills
  • Proficiency in completing Field Service Reports
  • Knowledge of equipment manufacturers' specifications
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefully
  • Physical capability to perform repeated bending and lifting up to 100lbs
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary
  • UPS OEM factory training or experience in Lieber/ Emerson/Vertiv, APC/ MGE/ Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware
