The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Pathology and Laboratory to join our team. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the overall operation and supervision of Pathology and Laboratory Services across our large and complex VA health care system.
Responsibilities- Provide efficient management of resources and budget
- Facilitate a collaborative team environment
- Proactively identify needs and concerns of the Service
- U.S. Citizenship
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in a Pathology
- Possess extensive and progressive leadership experience, both as a clinician and an administrator
- Possess the ability to promote innovation and lean management, be able to lead others and inspire organizational excellence
- Applicants must meet physical standards for the position
- A physical examination prior to placement is required
