The IT Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering technical assistance for issues related to computers, software, and various technologies while implementing effective resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for personnel seeking technical support via phone or email.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and relevant inquiries.
  • Maintain a record of incidents, issues, and their resolutions.
  • Install new software and hardware components as needed.
  • Provide fundamental computer training to staff.
  • Educate colleagues on network security and best practices for technology use.
  • Support the daily operations of the organization's computer network.
  • Ensure the safety and security of data storage.
  • Perform routine computer maintenance tasks.
  • Follow up with staff, offer feedback, and ensure issues are resolved.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to higher levels of support.
  • Work independently, adapt to changes effectively, and manage other essential tasks while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve basic technical problems.
  • At least two years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written) is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Clear Tuberculosis test result is necessary.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, and Varicella is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
