Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Custom Truck One Source. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance work on chassis and track mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders/instructions to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform work as outlined in work instructions set forth by Service Manager; efficiently, accurately, and in accordance to Custom Truck One Source standards.
  • Inspect and service vehicles and make repairs and adjustments both at the service center and in the field.
  • Verify work performed, road test vehicles as necessary.
  • Prepare inspection reports, repair orders (recording service time and parts costs) and timecards completely and accurately.
  • Tag all warranty and core parts for return.
  • Advises management immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Proficient in documentation using software, meeting deadlines and schedules.
Preferred Skills
  • Electrical, schematic / blueprints, hydraulic, welding, and related experience.
  • Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, or related diagnostic software.
  • DOT, ANSI, and Dielectric testing desired.
