We are seeking a highly skilled OBGYN Clinical Call Center Registered Nurse to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a positive image and upholding the company's core values.
- Assess and triage immediate health concerns, providing timely and accurate communication to prescribing physicians and case managers.
- Provide services according to Optum policy and the prescriber's plan of treatment, individualizing patient assessments based on care/services being provided and patient need.
- Ensure interventions respect and encourage the patient's ability to make choices, respecting each patient's rights and conducting business in an ethical manner.
- Initiate the plan of treatment/care pathway based upon the analysis of information obtained and within scope of practice and certification.
- Accurately communicate patient status information to prescribing physicians and case managers in a timely manner, providing necessary clinical information to Optum pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as applicable.
- Provide care and services to assigned caseload in an efficient, organized manner, maintaining flexibility in assignments and scheduling.
- Modify the plan of care, as appropriate, based on re-assessment, change in prescriber orders, the patient's need for further care or services, and the achievement of identified goals within scope of practice and certification.
- Complete clinical record documentation per Optum policy in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
- Provide service-related clinical support to key physicians/hospitals through personal contacts and in-services, as directed.
- Participate in holiday and weekend duties as scheduled.
- Ensure senior management decisions and directives are carried out.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current, unrestricted RN licensure (New York state specific license)
- 2+ years of clinical OBGYN experience
- Solid commuter and communication skills
