Job Summary

GPI is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our Pennsylvania office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising professional or technical staff and managing the day-to-day activities related to construction management and administrative/financial matters for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Verify that construction is performed per contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards
• Manage inspection services to achieve on-time and on-budget completion
• Review and ensure daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely
• Coordinate construction work with facility operations, maintenance, other contractors, and other stakeholders
• Review contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field and/or NICET Level 3-4 in Highway Construction
• 5+ years of experience in multi-discipline transportation construction projects for PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike is required, with an emphasis on bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction
• A licensed Professional Engineer
• Project experience in excess of $10 million is preferred
