Phlebotomy Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our patient service centers, mobile phlebotomy teams, and in-office phlebotomy services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction in all aspects of phlebotomy services.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of patient service centers, mobile phlebotomy teams, and in-office phlebotomy services
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for phlebotomy services in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local licensure requirements, working closely with the QA and Medical Director's offices
- Monitor and maintain a safe, professional environment in all facilities supervised
- Train, coach, and develop staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory, staffing, and scheduling to ensure efficient operations
- Participate in the interview, selection, and hiring process for new employees
- Perform mid-year and annual performance appraisals, providing constructive feedback and coaching to staff
- Ensure all employees meet requirements for driving on company business
- Track and enter time and attendance of employees
- Prepare schedules with minimal overtime for employees, maintaining adequate coverage for all facilities
- Prepare month-end reports and assist in the preparation of the annual budget for areas of responsibility
- Minimum two years prior supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership experience
- Minimum five years' experience in phlebotomy, laboratory, or other healthcare environments
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift 40 pounds, and carry up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time
- Extensive use of phone and PC, prolonged standing/sitting, fine dexterity with hands/steadiness, talking, vision, walking, balancing, bending/kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching/twisting
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage concerns of patients and employees in a professional manner
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise consistent, independent, sound judgment
