About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Mount Carmel Health System. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Record and report test results promptly and accurately.
  • Perform and interpret quality control testing following established guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of quality assurance and adhere to established safety procedures.
  • Recognize and address problems by following prescribed strategies and making necessary corrections.
  • Coordinate and evaluate new reagents, procedures, and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.
  • Perform routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
