Office Surveyor Job Description

Verdantas is seeking a skilled Office Surveyor to join our team in Newark, OH. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for establishing effective communication with users of survey information, developing Right of Way plans, and translating field survey data into end-user documents.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with survey teams to ensure complete accomplishment of work in compliance with requirements for subsequent operations
  • Develop and implement Right of Way plans to ensure efficient and safe survey operations
  • Translate field survey data into end-user documents using AutoCAD and other software products
  • Prepare property descriptions for recording purposes, following state and local ordinances
  • Interpret construction plans to prepare field layout and plot to scale deeds of property
  • Schedule field work and prepare information needed for that work
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or Natural Resource Management with a Land Surveying Technology concentration
  • 5-10 years of relevant survey experience
  • Proficient with MicroStation, Open Roads, and GeoPak
  • OH Professional Surveyor license preferred
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • DOT right-of-way prequel designer/reviewer preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work as an effective part of a team
