Real Estate Paralegal Job Description

Stroock, a leading law firm with offices in major cities, is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to partners and associates in the Real Estate department, ensuring seamless transaction execution and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in due diligence and closing of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and loans.
  • Prepare closing checklists, file folders, and arrange for document duplication and distribution.
  • Perform title and survey reviews, title objection letters, and abstract title documents.
  • Interact with clients, counterparties, title companies, surveyors, and government agencies.
  • Prepare and file UCC documents, transfer tax forms, and other governmental filings.
  • Order and review searches for title, violations, and liens, and arrange for PZR and similar reports.
  • Conduct entity searches, file formation documents, and prepare resolutions, consents, and notices.
  • Prepare and arrange for transmittal of correspondence and legal documents, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare signature blocks and arrange for client execution and notarization, as needed.
  • Organize and maintain client files in compliance with Firm procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (paralegal certificate is a plus).
  • 3+ years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask efficiently.
  • Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Notary Public license a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime.

The annual compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $114,000, depending on qualifications and other operational considerations. Benefits include health care, retirement benefits, paid time off, parental leave, basic life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, and more.
