Position Overview: This role is situated within the Department of Health Care Finance and plays a crucial part in supporting the DC Access System (DCAS). The Department of Health Care Finance - DCAS is in search of a seasoned Informatica ETL Specialist tasked with the design, execution, and validation of Informatica PowerCenter Workflows and Mappings. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with team members to create and enhance ETL processes utilizing Informatica PowerCenter.

The individual will become a vital member of the DCAS Team, treating every challenge associated with the platform as their own. They will exhibit the necessary initiative and analytical skills to address all issues and obstacles effectively.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop data mappings and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data into target environments (batch files, databases).
  • Create technical design documentation and formulate test plans for ETL unit and integration testing.
  • Collaborate with functional and integration teams on architecture and design.
  • Optimize ETL batch jobs for enhanced performance and throughput.
  • Adhere to Informatica workflow and mapping standards to ensure consistent development across all resources (avoiding hard coding, leveraging mapplet/reuse concepts).
  • Design ETL workflows and mappings from ODS to Data Warehouse using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Provide development support and mentor junior developers.
  • Assist in troubleshooting ETL batch job issues across production, PreProd, QA, and UAT environments.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and development teams.
  • Experience in Informatica PowerCenter Installation, Administration, and Configuration is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Informatica PowerCenter HTTP Adapter, JMS Adapter, and Web Services Hub is beneficial.
  • This role will involve close collaboration with DHCF and its partner agencies to ensure alignment with their priorities.

Position Duties:

  • Defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a comprehensive understanding of business systems and industry standards.
  • Modifies procedures to resolve complex issues considering computer equipment capacity, operational time, and desired outcomes. This includes analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into system requirements specifications.
  • Provides expert consultation on complex projects and is regarded as a top-level contributor/specialist in systems analysis, considering the business implications of technology applications in the current and future business landscape.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience; or a current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate / Range: $60-$72.50

The above salary range represents the expected range for the position; however, final salary offers are based on various factors such as the position's responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, location, travel requirements, and current market conditions.
