Pride Health is currently looking for a Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist to join our dedicated team.
Contract Duration:
This role is a contract position with a potential for extension.
Compensation:
The hourly pay rate ranges from $57 to $62.
Work Schedule:
Shifts are from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and at least one holiday.
Key Responsibilities:
The Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist will operate under the guidance of the Director of Respiratory Services and other supervisory staff to:
1. Deliver comprehensive respiratory care and manage supportive equipment as outlined in departmental protocols.
2. Administer respiratory therapy in accordance with medical directives, focusing on the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
3. Assist with intubation and manage ventilator setups.
4. Collect and analyze necessary information to assess patient needs, including disease education and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
5. Build a trusting relationship with patients and caregivers to create a supportive environment for achieving health goals.
6. Provide and document patient education tailored to individual needs in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a licensed Respiratory Care Specialist is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an ICU setting is essential.
- Prior experience with ventilators is mandatory.
- Flexibility to work in adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floors is necessary.
Licensure and Certifications:
- A current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license and Registered Respiratory Therapist certification are required.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA are mandatory.
