Job Summary

University Hospital seeks a dedicated Primary Care Specialist to provide specialized healthcare services for adults in our detention center. As a key member of our mental health care team, you will work collaboratively with medical and mental health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialized healthcare services for adults in the detention center
  • Supports University Health policies and procedures while ensuring efficient, appropriate, and adequate mental health care is administered
  • Promotes excellent internal and external customer relations through effective communication and teamwork
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in nursing (preferred) or an accredited post-basic educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Three years of nursing experience, with two years of advanced practice preferred
  • Certification by a national nursing body (recommended)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialing by the State to practice as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority

Salary and Benefits
