Patient Observation Assistant position available at Compass Group Careers. This role focuses on delivering attentive visual and auditory monitoring of designated patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse and unit supervisor.
Primary Duties:
- Continuously observe and assess the patient's condition and behavior
- Regularly complete and submit observation documentation
- Offer compassionate support to patients and healthcare staff
- Remain at the bedside of the assigned patient, notifying staff as needed
- Engage in identifying and reporting patient safety concerns
- Assist in calming patients and ensuring a secure environment
- Respond promptly to emergencies and specific patient needs
- Adhere to departmental policies and protocols
- Participate in educational initiatives within the hospital
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior experience is preferred
