About the Role: The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering outstanding service by warmly welcoming patients and ensuring that all check-in and checkout procedures are efficiently executed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner as they enter the facility.
  • Respond to phone inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Manage appointment scheduling effectively.
  • Collect and verify patient and insurance information.
  • Input patient demographics into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring completeness.
  • Confirm vision and medical insurance details and document them in the EMR.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of various insurance plans and communicate relevant information to patients.
  • Review schedules to confirm insurance eligibility prior to patient visits and ensure all files are organized.
  • Prepare and submit insurance claims, and generate reports to confirm all charges are processed.
  • Print and organize necessary forms for patient visits.
  • Document all charges, co-pays, and payments accurately in the EMR.
  • Allocate balances to insurance as required.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace at all times.
  • Utilize time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and practice information.

Physical Requirements: This role necessitates effective communication, the ability to operate necessary equipment, and mobility within the office environment.
