PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. * Lead and oversee a dedicated team of network administrators, Help Desk personnel, and managed service providers to ensure top-notch IT services and support. Responsibilities include:
  • Assigning and prioritizing daily tasks
  • Providing necessary training
  • Setting performance goals and job expectations
  • Evaluating team performance against set objectives
  • Managing staff, including recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and recommendations for employment actions.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing and coverage for all technology support roles, with availability for off-hours emergencies and project participation as needed.
2. * Continuously update the technology infrastructure (Voice and Data Networks, Servers, and Systems) in alignment with technological advancements and business requirements. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance IT operations and service delivery.

3. * Plan and manage technology for medium to large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Uphold professional standards to:
  • Maintain operational systems
  • Minimize downtime
  • Optimize hardware and software resource utilization
  • Establish and enforce IT security protocols
  • Ensure business continuity
  • Prevent unauthorized changes to operational systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable IT initiatives.
4. * Oversee IT involvement in projects related to new facilities and renovations, ensuring that IT systems meet current and future requirements.

5. * Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems, networks, and services through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

6. * Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to guarantee quality service and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

7. * Conduct regular assessments and audits of IT infrastructure and processes to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate risks.

8. * Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation plans to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

9. * Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in IT operations and management, making recommendations for appropriate adoption.

10. * Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation. Implement initiatives to enhance workplace culture with a focus on driving results and promoting diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility. Leverage organizational resources to enhance employee engagement and retention.

11. Other related duties as assigned to ensure the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in technology or a related field; high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role overseeing IT operations and support functions.
  • Strong technical knowledge in network management, systems administration, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors in a complex IT environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement IT initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Cultural competency and the ability to work effectively with a diverse audience.
  • Fluency in English at a professional working level.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) are preferred.
  • Five years of IT experience in an enterprise-level organization with at least three years in IT Operations management.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, client/server computing, Microsoft Server products, and network management tools.
