Job Title: Level 3 Class Electrician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 3 Class Electrician to join our team at Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for the routine and non-routine repair and maintenance of plant electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and promote safe work practices at all times, ensuring that safe work practices are being followed in all work groups.
  • Perform assigned duties and responsibilities in a safe and satisfactory manner.
  • Understand and comply with all known posted or generally accepted instructions, procedures, rules, practices, policies, or other items covered in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, including the inspection of equipment within scope of responsibility to sustain and improve equipment reliability.
  • Perform the safe isolation, shut down, inspection, adjustment, repair/overhaul, or startup of equipment and systems within scope of responsibility.
  • Work closely with the Electrical Maintenance Team Lead to achieve all department goals.
  • Develop the capability of connecting power supply wires to panels, components, and equipment.
  • Develop the capability of installing and maintaining wiring, Motor Control Centers (MCC's), bus duct, conduit, and electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Develop the capability of diagnosing, repairing, replacing, entering, re-entering, or programming device parameters for faulty electrical/electronic control components or equipment.
  • Capable of assisting other work groups, specialists, outside resources, and contractors with the troubleshooting, adjustment, repair, replacement, modification, maintenance, rebuilding, and installation of components, equipment, etc.
  • Document corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance of equipment to improve and sustain equipment reliability.
  • Develop the capability of evaluating equipment for performance and bringing equipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges.
  • Capable of utilizing resources such as printed or online equipment manuals, operating instructions, troubleshooting guidelines, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.
  • Required to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to advance from a 3rd Class Electrician to a 2nd Class Electrician within the maximum allotted time of 12 months from the date of hire or transfer as 3rd Class.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; two-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of four years education and related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write accurate information in English.
  • Ability to effectively present or listen to information in one-on-one and small group situations with all other employees of the organization in English.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
