Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned technical writing professional to lead the development of world-class documentation, streamline processes, and ensure our content reflects the evolving capabilities of our platform. As a Manager, Technical Writing, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and other key stakeholders to craft comprehensive resources that explain our ad tech software capabilities and support seamless product integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, overseeing documentation for internal and external audiences, including internal and external business end users.
  • Define and implement best practices for technical product documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility across all materials.
  • Own and maintain documentation sets for one or more product areas, including end user guides, and API documentation.
  • Analyze documentation performance and leverage these data-driven insights to improve accessibility and user engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement through tools, style guides, templates, and process optimizations to ensure documentation meets the highest standards of quality.
  • Manage relationships with documentation tool vendors and introduce strategies to enhance our content offerings.
  • Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) to track documentation quality and effectiveness.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop new technical writing talent.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in the AdTech or technology sectors, with a focus on creating content for business end users.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring technical writing teams.
  • A proven track record of leading technical documentation projects and strategy.
  • Strong grasp of information architecture and knowledge management concepts, with experience working in evolving documentation environments.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documentation that resonates with a broad audience.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with AdTech products and concepts, as well as industry-standard tools such as Confluence, Document360, SharePoint, Jira, and GitHub.
  • A solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, Markdown, and APIs.
  • Experience with product adoption platforms like Pendo is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or a related field.
