About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Lifeguard to join our team at La Gorce Country Club. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons and assisting with aquatic programs and pool operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures the safety of pool patrons and assists with aquatic programs and pool operations
  • Safeguards and regulates the conduct of pool patrons
  • Enforces pool policies, rules, and regulations
  • Rescues patrons and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid
  • Tests water quality in the pool and maintains appropriate records
  • Maintains proper chemical balances in both pool and hot tub as directed
  • May handle mechanical/pump room or chemical problems as necessary
  • Responsible for the proper organizational maintenance and sanitary upkeep of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms
  • Conducts patron swimming test to assess the ability to swim independently and unattended
  • May teach lessons and classes and execute fitness program design in a safe and effective way
  • Be responsible for the security of self and others
  • Office organizational, management, and computer skills
  • Must follow instructions precisely
  • Certifications (Lifeguard, CPO, AFO Swim Lessons) and CPR/First Aid certified for the Professional Rescuer
  • WSI lifeguard training or equivalent and continuing education to keep certifications and knowledge current
Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a flexible schedule and be open to work weekends and holidays. Rate: Starting at $17 per hour.
