We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at the YMCA of South Palm Beach County. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and guests while they enjoy our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Provide consistent surveillance of the pool area using the 10:10 rule of scanning.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pool environment.
  • Communicate effectively with members and staff to ensure a positive experience.
Requirements:
  • Current YMCA Lifeguard Certification.
  • Current ASHI CPR-BLS, ASHI First Aid, and ASHI Oxygen certification.
  • Ability to think critically and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies quickly.
