As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects that will help you develop your skills and knowledge in the field of industrial engineering.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development of plans, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
- Redesign tooling to improve operators' work environments and analyze layouts and production processes to improve facility layouts for product flow.
- Create reference documents and standardized work for new or improved processes and analyze quality concerns, make recommendations for improvement, and implement ideas.
- Explore new equipment and software that can reduce scrap and downtime and recommend changes to production flow to implement recommendations.
- Monitor, communicate, and improve key supply chain KPIs, including PPM, line disruptions, and days to close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation and evaluate production processes to increase productivity and investigate methods to enhance the product.
- Coordinate material and tooling availability with appropriate stakeholders.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and drive to complete tasks and assignments.
