Job Summary

San Mateo-Foster City School District is seeking a skilled Behavior Technician to provide support to students with academic and behavioral needs. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and the Behavior Intervention Specialist to develop and implement individualized plans to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Modify curriculum to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles
  • Teach and reinforce replacement behaviors to promote positive student outcomes
  • Manage difficult behaviors and facilitate student interactions with peers
  • Collaborate with the Behavior Intervention Specialist to develop and implement individualized plans
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience working with students in a special education program
  • Current Safety Care certification
  • Ability to pass district instructional aide exam (waived if applicant has 48 college credits)
