Job Summary

This role focuses on building relationships with new and existing accounts, promoting Sysco's products and services to drive profitable sales growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business.


About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Foodservice Sales Professional to join our team in Orange County, CA. This is an outside sales position that requires driving personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends and be able to recommend products to customers based on their needs and goals.


Main Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned territory.
  • Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on their business needs and goals.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and clients.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in foodservice sales or a related field.
  • 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience is preferred, along with restaurant management or chef experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and some knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
  • Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
