Job Summary:
Medical Search International is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. As a Surgical NP/PA, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting surgeons in the operating room.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons in the operating room, performing tasks such as preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Conduct initial consults, follow-ups, and bedside procedures for surgical patients.
- Collaborate with a team of 6-7 General surgeons, 4 vascular surgeons, and 1-2 Thoracic surgeons to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Work independently, with minimal supervision, to manage patient load and prioritize tasks.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in surgery required.
- Board certification in a relevant field (e.g., Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner).
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $130.00. The work schedule is 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, with no on-call requirements. The provider will work in a hospital setting, with access to Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager EMR system.
