Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Float Pool team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine radiographic procedures, verifying physician orders, and ensuring accurate patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and patient safety
  • Operate radiology information systems to facilitate patient care and imaging procedures
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure understanding
  • Independently operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images for diagnostic quality and accuracy
  • Complete quality control procedures and notify management of any issues
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory management and staff scheduling
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Minimum 3 years of ARRT(RT) experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
