Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, assessing patients, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure their understanding
  • Perform imaging procedures according to protocol, including placement of IVs
  • Review patient images for diagnostic quality and completeness
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory management and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
  • 2 years of experience in Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
