Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, assessing patients, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Perform quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary
  • Assist with departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
  • 2 years of experience in Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current license in the state of practice
  • Advanced level certification(s) in specific additional modalities
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
