The Northwest Regional Re-Entry Center (NWRRC) is a distinguished non-profit organization dedicated to the Criminal Justice sector, established in 1964. We operate a residential re-entry facility with over 150 beds, offering comprehensive transitional services for individuals reintegrating into society after incarceration, as well as for probation clients facing sanctions for supervised release violations and those under community restoration mandates.
Mission Statement: Our primary goal is to support, educate, and empower our residents as they navigate their journey back into the community, enhancing their life skills in the process. We are devoted to ensuring effective supervision, providing a structured environment, fostering accountability, and ultimately safeguarding the community.
Position Summary: We are on the lookout for a dedicated Resident Re-Entry Specialist to join our Security Department. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining a secure and safe environment for our staff, visitors, and residents who are transitioning back into society. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that residents are held accountable for their actions while treating them with the utmost dignity and respect. This position emphasizes accountability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee resident activities and behaviors to ensure adherence to facility rules and regulations.
- Uphold a safe and orderly environment.
- Conduct regular patrols, headcounts, and searches of the facility, including resident rooms and property.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and take appropriate actions.
- Maintain precise records of incidents and activities in the facility log.
- Administer observed urinalysis collection and breathalyzer testing for residents and contract clients.
- Manage and dispense resident medications.
- Monitor electronic tracking reports (GPS) for residents under home confinement.
- Control and document all entries and exits from the facility.
- Track resident accountability during approved absences from the facility.
- Serve as the first point of contact for law enforcement and related agencies.
Compensation: Starting hourly rates are $26.06 for Resident Re-Entry Specialist I and $27.61 for Resident Re-Entry Specialist II. Relevant experience and education will determine the position level and starting compensation. Additionally, we offer a 3% pay differential for swing shifts and a 5% differential for graveyard shifts.
Work Schedule: Staff must be available for any shift, seven days a week. New staff are assigned shifts based on current vacancies, with preferences determined by seniority. Schedules consist of five 8-hour shifts with two consecutive days off. Day shifts run from 7am to 3pm, swing shifts from 3pm to 11pm, and graveyard shifts from 11pm to 7am.

- Retirement: An employer-funded Simplified Employee Pension plan is available after one year, with a quarterly contribution of 7%.
- Tuition Assistance: We cover up to 50% of tuition costs for degrees or certificates in related fields after six months of employment.
- Fitness Incentive: Employees can receive up to $50 monthly for gym memberships or fitness activities.
